Alyssa Nicoly

Growing up I was an opinionated, shy, and yet a powerful kid. If I thought something was right, I would try to argue it but usually I was to quiet to be heard. A goal I've always had is to be more of a self advocate and not to be afraid of my opinions in fear they would get challenged. Animas High School was a small project based school that I only knew it existed because of a friend, I'm so thankful for that friend because Animas was definitely the correct choice for my type of learning. The teachers I encountered here not only listen to my goal, but also helped me reach it. Now if I have something to say my voice overpowers and I can have a debate with other students about what each of us think is correct. Animas truly is helping me grow in ways that I've always wanted to.
