Design YOur Own Art Project

To create this project, I began taking a picture of my friend, Zoe. I then chose her individually and added her into an image I found of graffiti. Most of what is on her skin is the paint brush tool. Other than the face, I drew every individual strand. I choose this project because I love body paint and I love Photoshop. Combining the two seemed challenging and intriguing and it was. I think communicating visually is important because sometimes people aren't good with words, but are phenomenal at art. Plus if the artist didn't specifically say the meaning of the painting then it is up to interpretation for anyone who sees it.

Logo design project

(Final Photoshop Project Above)

This project was fairly easy at first, as I had already planned out what I wanted to make. As I made the logo in illustrator problems started showing up. First, it didn't look like a circle, then it didn't look like a camera, etc. As I put it on some random things I realized it was surrounded by a white line, so I had to redo everything so it was transparent.

Happiness project/ political cartoon

Originally all the freshman had to make the happiness video which I was pumped for. Then my humanities teacher decided we should make a political cartoon which, I wasn't excited for. I busted this image out in 2 days because I had spent so long working on an animation that I later scrapped.

Utopia & Dystopia Visual Aid

I used Adobe Illustrator for my Utopian/Dystopian project. Stephen's Humanities class didn't start with this, we started with Black History month, however we did have the option to do that instead. I was a little to deep with the Utopian/Dystopian idea so I choose it over Black History Month. A takeaway for me was not to think to broadly because I wanted to create a stop motion film but I realized that was way to dificult so I switched things around.

We did this project in order to create a visual aid about the differences of Utopia and

Teacher Creature

(Final Photoshop Project Above)

At the beginning of the semester I had a few years of experience with Photoshop. I've never made things like this, however, usually just editing photos to make them brighter and prettier. I learned about tools like motion blur (which is on the barrel.) Now I can do things like the reflections in the water and making something look like it is underwater. Photoshop is definitely a passion of mine and this project really should be the things I can do with it. Also, don't worry the dogs not dead he can breath underwater.

Photoshop Tutorials

To begin this project I found a cracked mud photo and put it onto photoshop. Then I did Ctrl+A to select the image and then Ctrl+C to copy it. I then took it to the original photo on photoshop and did Ctrl+V to paste it. Then I changed it from Normal to Multiply to make it more transparent. Then I sized it to fit her face. For the eyes I used the magnetic lasso tool and selected the iris of the eye, I then made a Hue and Saturation layer to change the color to a reddish color. I made it darker so it was more brown and I think it looks really good.

Letter Portrait Project

Photoshop

Because this is only my first project it is clearly not my best work. If I could change anything it would definitely be the background as it was just a joke to me while I made it. However, I think my letters are unique and different from everyone else.

During this project I struggled with finding the S's mostly but I think the ones I did fine are pretty awesome.

Like the rest of my DP all of the photos (besides the background) are my own photos. I would like to continue doing this because I feel it makes my DP stand out from the rest, the photos I used no one else can or will ever take.

My favorite part of this project was exploring the outside world. It was challenging yet enjoyable and in the future I will probably do this project again with a different word.
